GENERATION WOMEN
Generation Women is a global production company created to support multi-generational female voices within the arts and cultural sector and foster the power of storytelling.
I worked as a Creative Manager alongside Suvi Derkenne to curate and produce monthly storytelling events throughout 2020. We celebrated diverse line-ups of women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. We worked closely with our storytellers in editing their stories, producing the events, managing ticket sales (a portion sent to a charity each event) and manning all creative copy needs. We even spoke on the radio a couple of times.
We worked with some formidable female storytellers who made us belly laugh, gasp and cry. A few include, Sue Woolfe and Fiona Wright (authors), Prof Jane Latimer (scientist), Kathy Kelly (motivational speaker), Chika Ikogwe and Airlie Dodds (actors), Jane Caro (commentator) and Elaine LaForteza (academic/ our bomb host).
